Some of the photos included here I took myself, others were taken by friends. I am not sure if they do it anymore, but back when I was a more rabid fan (in the early 80s), there used to be a Fuji Photo night at the ballpark. Fans were invited to stand on the warning track before the game and take pictures of the players who were trotted out like the prize ponies they are. I went twice and tried to take as many pictures as I could in the brief time allotted. Unfortunately, in my zeal, I shook the camera, so many photos turned out blurry.

I was always tickled to get so close to the players; some of them were *so* cute! (giggle) Yeah yeah...I need a good smack!

On the left is everybody's favorite Iron Man, Cal Jr., circa 1982 or so. Talk about "Ol Blue Eyes!" Yowza!! Just look at what a baby face he had back then ...of course, this was at least sixteen years ago! It might even have been from his rookie year.

And Pa Ripken, back when he was just a lowly third base coach. One can see the facial resemblance between Senior and Junior more these days than in the past. But what I wanna know is ...where did his boys get their bodies?? Must be all that milk!

Earl Weaver, then manager, and Frank Robinson, future manager. I think the hands on the hips/behind the back posture must be mandatory of all managerial-types (see Cal Sr. above). Earl is smiling so nicely and Frank seems to be quite attentive to a fan's musings.

The Orioles 80s version of Mike Mussina - Mike Boddicker. What a handsome devil! He was predicted to win a Cy Young award too. Whatever happened to him?

This is yet another pic taken by yours truly, and no, it was not a night game! The picture was kinda light, so I had to tinker with the brightness and contrast. I also decided to blow it up a bit to get a closer look. A little blurry, but almost worth the effort!

Ok, so there are no Orioles in this picture, but these are three Oriole *fans*. This photo was taken at the first exhibition game in Camden Yards, back in 1992. That's my little brother, myself (before I found my eyes) and my friend Andree. My friend Kate took the picture. (used without permission - I hope she doesn't get too mad!)

And this is a picture of my friend Bill, in a very uncharacteristic pose. Usually he looks as though he's imitating a deer trapped in the headlights. Here he is looking very calm while standing in the upper deck of Camden Yards. (another one by Kate, used without permission - I am in deep doo-doo now!)

You want more pics? I'd love to oblige ya, but...I am taking up too much bandwidth as it is! Seriously, this is just a nothing page...I had found some photos that I wanted to include and I did that. Check out the sites listed on the Odds -n- Ends page for lots of great Os photos!
