Publisher's Note

Welcome to issue eleven of Zimagal Monthly!

This month I want to dedicate to the arts - music, poetry, painting, etc. - things with which we enrich our lives. I wanted to write about a little of everything, but space and time are always limitations. So I chose to write about just one of my favorite painters, Frida Kahlo, a fantastic Mexican Surrealist/Folk Artist. I also want to take note of the up-and-coming Swing movement - welcome back Big Band! Then I decided to breathe new life into an old, award-winning, site of mine, Saffron Fish. In it you will find poetry, prose, and some artwork. I also am including a brand new column, which should (but won't) take the place of the soon-ending AOL Diaries - Critic's Corner.

Thanks to my lovely and talented contributors this month, Pasionara, Andree and Christopher. Also thanks to my Mom for taking the cover shot of moi.

Enjoy! And as always, please tell me what you think!
